Shrimp Boil...

Last evening David and I hosted a Shrimp/craw fish(yuck) Boil at our house for our Young Families Group at Church. We had a wonderful time of Fellowship and FEAST! Our good friend Bobby from Landmark brought the devotional about how to be a "Bad" (as in good) parent. Thanks Bobby!! I didn't get many pictures(sorry if I didn't get one of your kid), I was too busy dealing with little things like forgetting to buy Cocktail Sauce and enough drinks. The kids ran around like crazy Indians while we ate shrimp, craw fish(did I already say GROSS), salads, potatoes, corn, and desserts. I must say that David did a great job with cooking!! We had over 50 people attend including our Sunday School teacher and his wife AND my mom and dad. Fellowship is just such a wonderful and vital part of being a Christian. We are so lucky to have so many Godly people among us for our kids to be around.

Today, we are just left with the memories and lots and lots of dead mosquitoes all over our house...in every nook and cranny...in every room...A special thanks goes out to Chris and Taryn for helping us kill as many mosquitoes as possible, to Keri A. for running to Target to get more drinks and ice and desserts, to my mom and dad for keeping AW yesterday afternoon and to Ashley(we missed you, E, & C) for keeping the boys so they didn't tear up the house before the par-tay...and it was a PAR-TAY!!

Friday Favorites...

Today I'm blogging about two of my fav's!! Polka dots and monogramming. This may sound totally trivial, but I love them both!! So when I saw this monogram with polka dots in it, I thought,"you can't get any better than this!" For those of you that know me, you know about my obsession with clothes. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but I'm admitting to it. I snapped these pic of AW on the way out the door to the Y this morning. She LOVES to play in my car. I taught her how to get out yesterday b/c I'm afraid she will crawl in there one day and it will be hot. We are having a Shrimp Boil at our house Sat. night so I'm going to pick up Marina(the sweet collage girl that helps me clean) and we are going to get to work!! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend everyone!!

pippi...

Here are a few pics of my little "pippi" (ya know...pippi longstocking). We braved the elements today and went outside for a bit of fresh air. No, I haven't taken down my Easter wreath, I need to...The boys are spending the night with Mrs. H to see Tom Sawyer in Tallassee with the other cousins. I know they will have a great time, but I'm worried about them being tired tomorrow(since we just came back from Spring Break). It seems like when baseball season starts, we don't have a min. of free time. David is coaching their team, so at least he's with them a lot. My good friend Ashley R. is turning the big ?-0 on Wed and we are going to Gracie's Tea Room to celebrate...can't wait!! :-)

Happy Easter!

Wow, what a fun packed Easter Sunday! After morning services, we drove to Mimi and Papaw's for a yummy lunch. The kids played around the farm for a little while and we snapped some pics. I had a hard time getting good shots today b/c we had full sun. Lots of squinting and dark eyes here. :-( We had a special treat today in that we got to see Papaw's new baby filly that was just born this morning. She was precious! Then, we went over to Missy and GBJ's for ANOTHER Easter egg hunt. We always have so much fun with our family...what a blessing! We drove back to Montgomery and had a nice dinner with my parents. With a full memory card and dirty, sleepy kids, I didn't take any evening pics.

The kids enjoyed their treats from the Easter bunny, too much I'm afraid. We are now in sugar-detox-mode. Last night, Ford woke us up at 12:30 to see if the Easter bunny had come. That was exhausting. There are lots of pictures below of our day. Happy Easter! :-)
