What I'm lovin'...

I bought this precious lunch box and water bottle for AW to take to preschool in the Fall. I LOVE it!! If you want to know where to order one...click here. Renee has some adorable personalized items!! Check her out!

Here's another item I'm lovin' for Fall. I found a great deal on monogrammed roll neck sweaters. $18.99 for the sweater AND it includes the monogram!! Visit Koo Koo Bear kids to order. Here is a pic of this adorable sweater. They have it in brown, navy, lime green, and hot pink.

Big helpers!!

Today we are home cleaning and trying to catch up from the busy weekend. The boys closet and drawers needed to be re-organized so they set to work. They folded all this by themselves!!

We have been SUPER busy. This weekend Ford's travel ball team played in a tournament in Auburn. They won 3 and lost 1. Our last game got rained out yesterday. Wednesday we are going to the beach with the Rives. We will return Sunday and leave to go back on Wednesday. David has a CLE in Sandestin. We will pretty much be gone to the beach for 2 weeks(home for a few days in-between)...hey, I'm not complaining!!

Christine, Will, and Walker have been here all week and we've really enjoyed hanging out with them. You can visit Christine's blog here and see the pics I took of the boys last weekend.

Castles and Crowns Fall 2008

The time is here to order your Castles and Crowns Fall clothing. The clothes are super cute for Fall!! It takes 8-10 weeks to receive your order so that is why we host the trunk shows in the Summer. My dear friend Melissa Lester is having her show at my home on Tuesday evening from 4-7. You can view the entire line at http://www.castlesandcrowns.com/. The clothes are MUCH cuter in person. If you cannot attend but would like to place an order, please leave a comment and I will be happy to help you.

AW loves her iron and ironing board that Mama Sue and Papa gave her for Christmas. She told me she was "ironin' somefin for Jutson to wear to the pool."

Have you ever hurdled a pew DURING services?

I have. Tonight AW was especially flirtatious with some kiddos behind us. She was sitting as close to me AS POSSIBLE. In one short moment, she dove off the back of the pew landing with her face...on the floor. Seriously, you could hear a "gasp" amongst the church goers. The quickest way I could get to her was to jump over the pew(thank goodness I had on capris and not a skirt). I was sitting in the middle and there were people on both sides of me but no one on the pew directly behind us. I scooped her up and we hurried out of church with her screaming at the top of her lungs. She's fine... she has a little Rudolph nose, but it could have been so much worse. I'm sure our Minister loved seeing that from the pulpit. :-)

This has been a tough week for us. The boys have battled the dreaded "fever virus". Ya know, the diagnosis you get from the Ped. when they don't know what is wrong. They missed 1/2 of basketball camp last week and poor Ford was STILL running a fever today(day 5) so he will miss his first day of baseball camp tomorrow. Also this week, Ann Welch cut herself some bangs. I about DIED, but luckily they aren't noticeable. The scalping took place close to her part and it just kind of falls to the side. Copeland left some scissors on the floor and she helped herself to them. She is getting a hair cut tomorrow, so I'm sure Mrs. LayLa will love her new "doo".

Our daddies...and Happy Birthday David!

Today we get to say Happy Father's Day AND Happy Birthday to David. I thought I'd add some pics from the last year of my dad, David's dad, and David. We are so lucky to have all three of them in our lives. We LOVE you! :-)

Blog awards...

Before I start this post, I need to add that the spacing here is driving me crazy. I like to have a space b/w all the winners, etc. I've tried to edit this post 3 times so it will be easier to read, but dumb blogger isn't letting me add spaces anywhere... boo hiss...
Thanks to my sweet friend Melissa for giving me this award. Her blog is such a motivation to many. It's one I check every day and can't wait for updates!! I just feel like I know my friends better by looking at their "journals". Melissa has one of those blogs that everyone can benefit from reading. I would describe it as being:
better than Martha,
kids cuter than ever, and
words inspiring us to be more Christ-like.
The rules for accepting this award are:

1. Choose 5 blogs you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material and contribution to the blogging community, regardless of the language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented him/her with the award.

4. The award winner and the one who has given the award have to show the Arte Y Pico blog so everyone will know the origin of this award.

5. Show these rules.
Here are my winners:
1. My sister Christine. She inspired me to start a blog. I don't know if she will have time to pass on the award b/c she has a newborn, but I'm giving it to her anyway.
2. My friend Leah. She was my first church friend to start a blog after mine. We've gotten to know each other better through the blog world. I've enjoyed reading her blog this past year!
3. My good friend Lara. Her blog is private, but I'm happy she decided to join us and post pictures of her gorgeous boys and my daughter's future husband(sorry Colby). Her kids never take a bad picture.
4. My other good friend Jamie. She is also new to the blog world. Her blog is fun to read and she home schooled her kids for the first time this year. I know this will be interesting to many readers. Her daughter Mollie is one of AW's best friends. "Monnie" as AW says....
5. My last-but-not-least award goes to Rebecca. Her 100 things about me post earned her this award, along with the hilarious posts she has about her son Brooks. He is a hoot!!
