My life has been sooo crazy while starting this photography business... I haven't had time to blog. It is now 12:47 and I will pay for this tomorrow! We had a fabulous Thanksgiving today at my sister-in-law's house. She hosts every year and we LOVE it! My dad was sick and my brother missed his flight. :-( My sister and her family came from Nashville to pig out with us. We ended up spending the whole afternoon fishing at my in-laws. Here are some of my favorite pics from the day...

3 sessions edited!

I had 7 mini sessions today. 3 are partially edited. It has taken me A VERY LONG TIME... but, I feel like Christmas when I open the pictures on my computer. Opening a file is like opening a present...surprise and joy.

I had the BEST time today...with ALL the families! Literally, I enjoyed every minute. I learned lessons in patience, the fruit of the Spirit I most need to work on. Not MY patience with the children I photographed, rather I was inspired by observing how OTHER parents have patience with their OWN kids. Does that make sense??

I promise this isn't going to turn into a business photography blog. As soon as I get my other one going, it will be the source of all my new goodies/pictures. :-)

Here are a "few" of my favorites from the day...

The biz...

I'm s-l-o-w-l-y learning what it is like to go into business. Mom-brain has a lot to process. I hope to have my photography blog up and running next week. I do plan on having a website as well, hopefully by the new year. Here are a few pictures I took earlier in the week at Shakespeare(of my kids).

5 Novembers...

My precious baby girl was born 5 years ago today. What a wonderful blessing she has been in our lives! We decided not to do birthday parties for any of the kids this year. Sooo, when she asked for a Nintendo DSi, we decided to get one for her. Not paying for a B'day party gets you a better present...haha! We did have our own little party at home with cookie cake and candles from around the house. (kinda forgot to buy birthday candles...I'm mom of the year.) I also took Krispy Kreme to her class at school and those kids can put away some donuts!! After picking up her cake, Copeland dropped a pumpkin on it. Story of my life...doesn't he know he can't smush the cake before I get a picture of it? C'mon!! :-)

Needle in a haystack...

I took the kids to Shakespeare today for our first attempt at Christmas Card pics. I say first attempt, b/c it usually takes about 3. After we got out of the car, I remember tossing my keys to the side at some point(not sure why I did this but...)and proceeding to take 1,000,000 pictures of my kids. About 30 minutes later I thought to myself, where are my keys??

The kids and I looked and prayed for about 30 min. As you can see from the pic below, they were thrilled... Stupidly, I left my cell phone in my locked I had to ask "man-reader-hoggin-the-bench-I-wanted-to-use-for-pictures" if I could borrow his cell phone. I left a voice mail for David to come and get us. Next, we explored, took more pics, had a few meltdowns, and watched for daddy. Daddy never came. Finally, I grabbed little hands and prayed again that the Lord would help us find my keys. 10 minutes later, I found them! :-)

It was nearing dark, and I had promised/bribed Nancy's Italian Ice, so we took off. I called David and asked if he knew what voice mail was??? Ya know, b/c he never came to rescue us. Apparently, it was I who made the mistake, though. I dialed the wrong number and he never had a VM from me. So, I am thankful that the Lord answered my prayer with a yes. Otherwise, we might be sleeping under the stars tonight. ;-)
